Coverage
All participants will be covered by business liability insurance.
Personal insurance for death, injury, or other incidents must be arranged individually.


□ Important Notices

Health and Safety
Participants must carefully consider their own health and fitness before registering for SEOUL RACE.
Injuries or fatal accidents may occur during the event.
Ambulances will be stationed at key points as a precaution.
The organizer will not be held responsible for any injuries or accidents except as covered by the participant’s personal insurance.
Participants must confirm their ability to run safely by consulting a medical professional.

Participants must arrive at the venue early to allow sufficient time for preparation and warm-up.


□ Eligibility

  • Half Marathon: Healthy men and women aged 18 or older who agree to the participant guidelines.
  • 11km Course: Healthy men and women who agree to the participant guidelines.

Active registered athletes in track and field (running events), triathlon, or modern pentathlon may participate but will be excluded from awards.
Former athletes whose registration was canceled within the last two years, or those who have represented their city/province in the National Sports Festival, are also excluded from awards.
If ineligible participants are identified after the awards are given, the awards will be revoked and prizes must be returned.

□ Cancellation and Refund

For cancellations, please contact the vendor where you purchased your entry ticket.


□ Assembly and Start Procedure

Half Marathon:
Participants must arrive at Seoul Plaza before 7:00 AM, change in the designated changing room, store belongings in the storage area, warm up, and gather at the start line.

11km Course:
Participants must arrive at Cheonggye Square before 7:00 AM, change in the designated changing room, store belongings in the storage area, warm up, and gather at the start line.

Start Order:
Half Marathon and 11km record submitters will start first, followed by non-record submitters.
Timing will be measured by net time from the moment the start mat is crossed.
Participants must allow enough time for a safe start.
Parking will not be available at Seoul Plaza or Cheonggye Square; public transportation must be used.
Assembly points, start points, and the race course may be changed by the organizer if necessary.


□ Time Limits

To minimize inconvenience to citizens, strict time limits will be enforced:

  • Half Marathon: 2 hours 30 minutes
  • 11km Course: 1 hour 40 minutes

After the time limit, traffic control will be lifted.
Participants must finish within the time limit and follow the instructions of race officials.
The Race Secretariat will not be responsible for any accidents occurring after traffic control is lifted.


□ Changing Rooms and Storage

Changing rooms and storage will be provided on the event day.
Storage will be divided by participant category (Half Marathon: Seoul Plaza / 11km Course: Cheonggye Square).
Participants must store belongings in the correct area.
After finishing, belongings may be retrieved by presenting the storage sticker.
Valuables will not be accepted, and the organizer will not be responsible for lost items.
Participants are advised not to bring cash or valuables to the venue.


Refreshments

  • Water and ion drinks: Provided at 5km, 10km, and 15km points (planned)
  • Sponges: Provided at 7.5km, 12.5km, and 17.5km points


□ Timing Chip

Timing will be measured by net time from the start mat.
Upon receiving your participant number, please check that the timing chip is properly attached.
If there is any issue, contact the Race Secretariat at Dongma Club website inquiry

Timing Chip Instructions:

  1. The timing chip must not be bent or removed.
  2. The number with the chip must be worn visibly on the front.
  3. The chip is disposable and does not need to be returned.

If the number (chip) is not worn or the timing mats are not crossed, the participant will be disqualified.


□ Disqualification

Once payment is completed, participation rights may not be transferred and proxy participation is not allowed.
Changes or proxy participation will result in disqualification and no certificate will be issued.
Cheating, such as running with another person’s chip, will also result in disqualification.
Participants must start in their assigned group. Starting ahead of your group will result in disqualification.
Not wearing, tampering with, or changing the number will result in prohibition from participation and timing will not be recognized.


□ Race Pack

For international participants, the race pack must be picked up on the event day at the venue, Seoul Plaza.

On the day of the race, please visit the Information Center at the event site to collect your race pack.
After receiving your race pack, you may store your belongings at the storage area and prepare for the start.
This process may take some time, so please arrive well before the start time (8:00 AM) to ensure you have enough time to get ready.


□ Privacy Policy

SEOUL RACE collects personally identifiable information, including name and resident registration number, from applicants.
Required information includes name, resident registration number, participation category, address, contact, and email.
This information will be used for insurance, event notifications (email, SMS, alerts), and may be shared with sponsors and partners for service improvement.
Applicant information may be used for marketing activities such as Dong-A Ilbo newspaper subscription marketing.
Personal information will not be disclosed to others for commercial purposes.
However, personal information may be disclosed for legal actions if the applicant violates guidelines, causes harm, or commits acts against public order.


□ Other Matters

The Race Secretariat reserves the right to disqualify participants, invite special guests, suspend or cancel the event (no refund for cancellation due to natural disasters), and change the course.
Other matters will follow the 2025 Korea Athletics Federation competition rules.
